The "Destination Paradise" art exhibition has run just over half of it's term and has been successful so far. Over 1000 people have visited the event in the first half.
There have been a healthy number of sales and some works are under consideration by potential purchasers ... and are sure to be sold by the end of the week.
The standard of artwork is very high and diverse ... originating from 20 artists with very different 'takes' on the theme of "Destination Paradise". Sarah Goldfinch (www.goldfinchcommunications.com.au), the show's curator, said that the wide diversity of art submitted presented her with challenges in placement of works so that each complimented each other.
According to Sarah, the venue (the Old Sugar Wharf, Port Douglas) is a wonderful space which compliments the works on show. Many visitors have commented that "Destination Paradise" is one of the best presented art shows they've seen in Port Douglas.
"Destination Paradise" runs until October 31, 2010 ... opening hours, 10am to 6pm, daily.
