Fine Bowl forms in epoxy resin by Bob Gilmour

I finished two small resin bowls last week … one black, the other watermelon coloured … a mixture of red and white pigment interspersed with clear.

These two pieces are part of a series begun last year for which the original form was made of raw clay. I emphasised the texture of the un-fired raku clay with course abrasive before molding it in silicone rubber. The heavy textures transferred across to the resin forms beautifully and add a very tactile dimension to the elegant works.
